Report: Suited man seen in Reading Rooms before Enniskillen bombing

A witness who claims he saw a man in the hallway of the Reading Rooms the night before the Enniskillen bomb gave a detailed description of him to police investigating the atrocity which killed 12 townspeople, it has been revealed.
However, the man was never arrested despite the witness identifying two local suspects from photographs, according to a review by the Historical Enquiries Team (HET). The team is now disbanded, but a copy of its 58-page report has been seen by The Impartial Reporter.
On the morning of November 8, 1987, a 40-pound bomb of homemade explosives was detonated in the old Reading Rooms where the Clinton Centre now stands, with the gable wall crashing down on civilian spectators gathering for the Remembrance Sunday ceremony.
At about 9pm the previous evening, the report says, a local man they call Witness E met someone in the hallway of the building where the bomb was planted.
“I met a man who was wearing a darkish pinstripe suit and had a limp. I had never seen him before. He was carrying a blue plastic bag that looked heavy,” he told police. And in March 1988, Witness E made contact with the then RUC and after being shown photos of local suspects, he identified two men who were never arrested.
