There was great success for Fermanagh at the Belfast Telegraph Sports Awards as Jennifer Hanna, head coach of Splitz Gymnastics Club, was awarded the Local Heroes Award.
The award, which recognises special achievement at grassroots level, was presented to Jennifer at the awards ceremony last month at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast.
A former British gymnast, Jennifer re-energised the dormant Fermanagh club when she moved to Northern Ireland in November 2013.
Jennifer was noted for the wealth of experience that she has brought to Fermanagh in gymnastics and particularly with the discipline of acrobatic gymnastics. Jennifer runs Splitz Gymnastics as a non-profit making venture. It is staffed fully by herself along with an assistant coach and other parent/young leader volunteers who were all trained by Jennifer.
