Firefighters rescued a man who was stuck approximately 20ft up a tree in Bellanaleck this afternoon after injuries he had sustained meant he was unable to climb down.
A spokeswoman for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service stated: "Firefighters were called to an incident where a man in his 30’s was injured while working up a tree. Due to his injuries, he was unable to climb down from the tree and fire crews, along with the man’s colleagues, rescued him using a longboard, ladders and manual handling."
Two appliances from Enniskillen Fire Station attended the incident at the Killywillan Road, Bellanaleck, Enniskillen following a call at 12.52pm today (Monday February 18.) The man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital by ambulance.The incident was dealt with at 1.49pm.
