The tireless and amazing work of Sharon McGrath and the Oisín McGrath Foundation was rewarded when she picked up the Heart of Gold NI Award at a ceremony last Saturday.

Sharon was the first person from Fermanagh to be nominated for the Heart of Gold Awards NI.

And at the ceremony, in the Dunadry Hotel, Antrim, Sharon and family were there to collect the award in recognition of all the hard work she has put in to raise awareness for organ donation since the tragic death of her son Oisín four years ago.

The awards ceremony saw nominees from all over Northern Ireland come together on Saturday, March 2 to celebrate all the brilliant work they do in their communities and it was Sharon who got the most votes and came out on top to claim the Heart of Gold award.

The Heart of Gold Awards NI is an event hosted by business support and online networking groups Mums at Work and Bizmerang with social networking businesses paying tribute to those who go the extra mile to help others.
