A father and son have had a charge of attempted murder withdrawn at Fermanagh Magistrates Court and have pleaded guilty to lesser offences.
Sean McDonagh, Coolcullen Meadow, Enniskillen had been facing further charges of grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and common assault in relation to an incident involving his sister on October 14, 2018.
However due to lack of evidence, the prosecution was only proceeding with the common assault charge, which the 24 year old accepted.
His father, Charles McDonagh (46), also of Coolcullen Meadow, Enniskillen was facing a further charge of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place also related to the same incident.
Again, due to the lack of evidence, the attempted murder charge was dropped with McDonagh accepting the lesser possession of an offensive weapon charge.
Both men are due to appear again on April 3 for sentencing.
