A man charged with murder appeared via video link at Fermanagh Magistrates court this week as the Public Prosecution Service informed the court that it was unlikely that a preliminary enquiry could be held on its proposed date at the end of the month due to a back log of cases.

28 year old Daniel Allen is charged with four counts of murder and one count of arson endangering life following a house fire in Derrylin on February 27 2018.

The planned preliminary enquiry was due to be heard on April 29 however the prosecution revealed that papers had not yet been served to the defence team.

Papers are expected to be served this week and defence solicitor, Gary Black, told the court that more time would be needed due to the volume of papers expected.

District Judge Mark McGarrity adjourned the case until April 29.

Allen is charged with the murders of Denise Gossett, Sabrina Gossett, Roman Gossett and Morganna Gossett.
