IN the week where one motorist was clocked travelling at 118 miles per hour the PSNI have asked the people of Fermanagh to come forward and let them know where they would like to see speed checks carried out throughout the county.
Through their Facebook page the PSNI put up a number of posts on the issue of speeding. In one they shared a picture of car clocked travelling at 118 mph with the post stating:
"The message still isn’t getting through to some. This detection was made this afternoon by officers from Enniskillen Roads Policing Unit. Speeds like this aren’t just putting this driver’s life at risk, it’s putting other, innocent, road users in danger too. wise up and slow down."
In another post the PSNI said "you spoke we listened" accompanied by picture of an officer with a speed gun in Derrylin. The post went on to ask people "where else would you like us to get the hairdryer out?" and included the hashtags #ItsRudeToFlash and #WatchOutPeelersAbout
