US president Donald Trump and his wife Melania were greeted as they emerged from Air Force One at Stansed Airport this morning by Lord Brookeborough.
President Trump is on a state visit to the UK and will also visit the Republic of Ireland.
Viscount Brookeborough who has served as Personal Lord in Waiting to The Queen since 1997 introduced President Trump to other dignitaries, including Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt who tweeted a photograph of the encounter.
The Fermanagh man has been Lord Lieutenant of the county since 2012. He served with HM Armed Forces between 1971 and 1994, with 17th/21st Lancers, the Ulster Defence Regiment and the Royal Irish Regiment.
