Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Domhnall Gleeson made a surprise appearance in Enniskillen last weekend as part of the 7th Happy Days Beckett Festival presented by Arts Over Borders. The Irish actor who plays General Hux in Star Wars and Bill Weasley in Harry Potter took part in the 'All Mankind Is Us: Walking for Waiting for Godot' performed reading around Sir Antony Gormley’s Tree for Waiting for Godot on an upland blanket bog within the Marble Arch Caves UNESCO Global Geopark at the Fermanagh-Cavan border.

During the performed reading of Beckett's 'Waiting for Godot,' Domhnall took on the role of Vladimir.

The Republic of Ireland Godot cast performed the event in Northern Ireland to open the Arts Over Borders next four weeks of festivals inspired by Samuel Beckett, Oscar Wilde and Brian Friel.

A source told The Impartial Reporter that Domhnall enjoyed a pint of Guinness during a visit to Blakes of the Hollow in Enniskillen on Saturday night (July 27) ahead of his surprise performance at the Beckett Festival on Sunday.
