District Judge Steven Keown told a man convicted of driving with excess alcohol that he was "lucky he didn't kill himself or someone else" after his car crashed through a fence of a house and came to rest on the driveway of the property.
Thomas Maguire, with an address of Swanlinbar Road Enniskillen, was disqualified for two years and fined £300 by Judge Keown when he appeared at Fermanagh magistrates Court this week.
The court heard that police were called to a single vehicle accident in Kinawley where a car had crashed through a fence of a house.
The facts revealed that Maguire, 58, told police "it's my own fault, I should not have been drinking and driving".
A defending solicitor said that there was a relevant record with respect to the defendant but that "it was of some vintage" and asked that credit be given for his client making full admissions.
