Many homes in Fermanagh were left without electricity last night due to the adverse weather conditions which have struck the county.

Irvinestown and Bellanaleck were affected with a number of homes losing power for a short time on Monday, February 10.

A yellow warning for wind and snow remains in place for Northern Ireland today (February 11). Due to heavy hail showers this morning, the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is advising road users in Fermanagh to be wary of difficult driving conditions. A spokesman for the DfI stated: "There has been a heavy hail shower in Enniskillen and parts of Co. Fermanagh which has frozen on the road surface and this is causing difficult driving conditions due low traffic volumes early in the morning."

"Gritting operations have been ongoing throughout night and this morning," the DfI spokesman concluded.
