A 35-year-old mother of four from Enniskillen who died in South West Acute Hospital last month “will be missed by all who knew her”, her family have said.

Claire Quinn’s death, described by her mother Christine as “sad, sudden and tragic”, has plunged her family and friends into mourning.

Speaking to this newspaper, Christine said her daughter was “a devoted mother to her four children and they were her life”.

“She also took everyone under her wing even folk unknown to her and made time for everyone. Even in death Claire continued to give to others through the gift of organ donation,” she added.

She said Claire’s children; Shannon (14), Dwayne (nine), Lyra (seven) and Clara (five) are “heartbroken” but added: “Her legacy will live on through them. Her kindness and empathetic nature is evident in her children.”

“Claire was very popular and had friends throughout the world and will be missed by all who knew her every day,” her mother said.

She was a former pupil of Holy Trinity Primary School and Enniskillen Integrated College which also paid tribute to the young woman.

“Claire joined the College in its second intake in 1995 and is remembered as a bright, vivacious student with a great sense of humour and a kind word for everyone. She was very popular with peers and school staff alike.

“Even after leaving the College, Claire enjoyed bumping into her former teachers and staff from the college and sharing reminiscences and memories from her formative years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Claire's family at this most difficult of times, in losing one so young.”
