There has been further Covid-19 related death in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area according to the latest update from the Department of Health, bringing the total figure to 16. 

Across Northern Ireland there were six new deaths reported with there now being 645 deaths due to the virus across the country.

In Fermanagh and Omagh there were 36 new positive cases of the virus. There has now been 1,210 positive indivudals in the district.

The BT93 postcode area, which covers a large part of Fermanagh, is the least affected area in Northern Ireland according to the department's update with a rate of 35.5 per 100k for the last seven days. Other postcodes in Fermanagh include BT74 which has a rate of 148.2 per 100k; BT92 is 186.2 per 100k while BT94 is 136.2 per 100k.

In the last seven days there have been 303 positive cases in the Council area. 43 of those were aged 19 and under; 99 aged between 20 and 39; 95 between the ages of 40 and 59; 46 aged between 60 and 79 and 20 aged 80 and over.

The seven-day incident rate for positives case per 100k people has fallen in Fermanagh and Omagh, and now stands at 259.4 per 100k people for the week of October 15-21 – the previous week’s rate stood at 265.

Some 923 people tested positive across Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours. 33,209 people have tested positve for the virus since the beginning of the pandemic with 6,839 in the last seven days.

There are currently 5 Covid-19 in-patients in the SWAH. There are 68 in-patients across the Western Trust.

There have been 62 admissions to the Trust, and 58 discharges in the past seven days.

There are 309 in-patients in hospital across Northern Ireland with the virus. Some 34 people are on Covid ICU beds across Northern Ireland. There are 27 Covid-19 patients on ventilators across Northern Ireland.

There are currently 92 confirmed nursing home outbreaks, with 11 suspected care home outbreaks across NI.
