The total number of deaths related to Covid-19 in Northern Ireland has risen to 658, with five new deaths reported by the Deaprtment of Health in the last 24 hours.

None of those deaths occured in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area which has the lowest number of deaths with 16.

Across Northern Ireland there 727 positive cases, bringing the total number of individuals to have contracted the virus to 34,832 with 6,828 of those in the last seven days. 

In Fermanagh and Omagh there were 25 new cases, with the total now at 1,287.

The BT93 postcode area in the Fermanagh and Omagh area has a rate of 186.2 per 100k for the last seven days. Other postcodes in Fermanagh include BT74 which has a rate of 268 per 100k; BT92 is 273.4 per 100k while BT94 is 229.1 per 100k.

In the last seven days there have been 317 positive cases in the Council area. 58 of those were aged 19 and under; 99 aged between 20 and 39; 93 between the ages of 40 and 59; 45 aged between 60 and 79 and 22 aged 80 and over.

The seven-day incident rate for positives case per 100k people has increased in Fermanagh and Omagh, and now stands at 271.3 per 100k people for the week of October 15-21 – the previous week’s rate stood at 227.7.

There are currently 7 Covid-19 in-patients in the SWAH. There are 69 in-patients across the Western Trust.

There have been 57 admissions to the Trust, and 66 discharges in the past seven days.

There are 342 in-patients in hospital across Northern Ireland with the virus. Some 39 people are on Covid ICU beds across Northern Ireland. There are 30 Covid-19 patients on ventilators across Northern Ireland.

There are currently 99 confirmed nursing home outbreaks, with 11 suspected care home outbreaks across NI.
