There have been 32 further Covid-19 related deaths across Northern Ireland over the weekend according to the daily updates from the Department of Health, bringing the total number to 791.

15 deaths were reported on Saturday with a further seven on Sunday and 10 today (Monday). none of the deaths were reported in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area where 20 deaths have been reported.

In the Council area there were a further 50 new cases over the weekend bringing the number of positive cases in the area to 1,582. Across Northern Ireland 1,419 people tested positive for the virus over the weekend, with the total now standing at 43,388. 

Breaking down positive cases by postcode in Fermanagh, from November 2-8, there were 13 cases in BT93; 40 cases in BT92; 17 positive cases in BT94; and 21 cases in BT74. 

There have been 152 positive cases in the Council area in the last seven days compared to 220 in the previous week from October 26 to November 1. Some 15 of those were aged 19 and under; 54 were aged between 20 and 39; 50 were aged between 40 and 59; 25 were aged between 60 and 79, and 8 were aged 80 and over.

The seven-day incident rate for positive cases per 100k people in Fermanagh and Omagh now stands at 130.1 per 100k, for the week of November 2-8 – the previous week’s rate stood at 188.3.

There are currently 80 in-patients across the Western Trust, with 15 of these in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH). While there have been 57 admissions and 68 discharges in the past seven days in Western Trust hospitals.

Across the five Trusts, there are 426 in-patients in hospital with the virus. Some 55 people are on Covid ICU beds across Northern Ireland, none of those are in the SWAH. There are 43 Covid-19 patients on ventilators across Northern Ireland.

There are currently 139 confirmed nursing home outbreaks, with 4 suspected care home outbreaks across Northern Ireland.
