The Department of Health have reported 20 further Covid-19 related deaths in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours, with three of those taking place in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area.

There have now been 1,434 deaths across Northern Ireland with 57 of those in this local Council area.

1,500 people tested postive across Northern Ireland with the total now at 86,146.

There were 61 positive cases in Fermanagh and Omagh in the last 24 hours with the total now at 4,336.

Breaking down Fermanagh by postal district from December 28 – January 3, 2021 shows that all postal districts have seen an increase of positive cases with some Fermanagh postcodes doubling the number of positive cases. BT92 has 151 postivie cases (72 last week), BT74 has 127 positive cases (63 last week) , BT94 has 73 positive cases(55 last week) and BT93 has 79 positive cases (40 last week).

Fermanagh and Omagh currently has a seven day per 100k rate of 486.2. The number of positive cases in the district in the past seven days is 568 compared to 672 from December 24-30

52 were aged 19 and under; 227 between 20 and 39; 169 between 40 and 59; 91 between 60 and 79 and 29 aged 80 and over.

There are currently 80 Covid-19 in-patients in the Western Trust, with 22 of those at the SWAH. There have been 54 admissions and 61 discharges in the past seven days.

Across the Trusts, there are currently 641 Covid in-patients. The number of ICU Covid-occupied beds stands at 45 with none of those at the SWAH. 36 Covid patients are currently on ventilators.

Confirmed care home outbreaks are currently at 137 with 23 outbreaks across 71 homes in the Western Trust. The Western Trust has the largest proportion of care homes with an outbreak in that region with 32 per cent.
