TWO deaths have occurred over the weekend in Fermanagh and Omagh bringing the total number of deaths in the district to 61.

There were 111 new cases of Coronavirus reported over the weekend in Fermanagh and Omagh by the Department of Health. 39 of these cases were reported in the past 24 hours bringing the total cumulative number cases in Fermanagh to 4,913.

The Department of Health's daily update has recorded 640 new cases of Coronavirus across Northern Ireland with the highest daily increase occurring in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon district with 106 new cases.

There have been 18 deaths recorded in Northern Ireland over the past 24 hours and one death recorded outside of the reporting period bringing the total number of deaths recorded to 1,625.

Breaking down Fermanagh by postal district from January 11-17, 2021 shows BT92 had 73 positive cases, BT74 had 52, BT94 had 33 positive cases and BT93 has 37 positive cases.

Fermanagh and Omagh currently has a seven day per 100k rate of 325.3 compared to 448.5 .4 for the seven days previous from January 4 -10. The number of positive cases in the district in the past seven days is 380 compared to 524 from January 4-10.

Breaking down cases by age there were 33 cases in people aged 19 and under; 139 between 20 and 39; 117 between 40 and 59; 61 between 60 and 79 and 30 aged 80 and over.

There are currently 108 Covid-19 in-patients in the Western Trust, with 46 of those at the SWAH. There have been 54 admissions and 67 discharges in the past seven days.

Across the Trusts, there are currently 823 Covid in-patients. The number of ICU Covid-occupied beds stands at 65 with two of those at the SWAH. 51 Covid patients are currently on ventilators.

Bed capacity across Northern Ireland’s hospitals is at 93 percent with the South West Acute Hospital operating at 102.35 percent.

Confirmed care home outbreaks are currently 139 at with 28 outbreaks across homes in the Western Trust. The Western Trust has the largest proportion of care homes with an outbreak in that region with 39 per cent.
