Is there a particular song that reminds you of childhood memories and family time?

THE first song that springs to mind would have to be 'Winning Dream', by Seamus Moore.

It always takes me back to the many Saturdays when my dad would take me to work with him on building sites.

We would be up very early on the Saturday morning, and I would be filled with excitement of getting into the van and listening to this song.

Which songs take you back to your teenage years?

IT WOULD have to be 'Mr. Jones', by the Counting Crows – I still remember the first time I heard this song like it was yesterday.

I was in my friend, Brendan Kavanagh's, kitchen when he took out the guitar and started playing.

Anytime I hear this song, it always takes me back to that kitchen on that night – a time when our biggest worry would be if we had enough tins to keep us going for the night!

What music gets you through tough times?

MY GO-TO album when times are tough is AC/DC Live; this album always makes me remember the feeling of enjoyment when I first heard it in my uncle, Paul O’Dee's house in London.

My ears still to this day perk up and a smile comes to my face, listening to this.

I just go into a room with headphones on, and slip back in time to that day and all seems right with the world.

I also remember at this time getting a Monsters of Rock t-shirt from Uncle Paul, as well, and I thought I was the coolest person ever!

What type of music would best describe your first love?

AH, FIRST love – it would be Rock music and, in particular, Audioslave.

The reason being is my first love – AKA my wife, Sinead – made me a CD of one of their albums.

We would both sometimes just sit about and listen to all sorts of Rock bands, and liked going to see local bands play, which was all great – but I will always remember that first Audioslave album she made for me.

If you could choose a band to play on the soundtrack of your life, who would it be?

I WOULD choose Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, because having listened to them for years they always seem to have a song for all of life’s situations.

I think if I were to sit down and talk with him [Springsteen] and tell him a few stories, I reckon they could come up with some great songs for a soundtrack of my life.

If you could play a song to give you confidence, what song would it be?

AC/DC's 'If You Want Blood'. I absolutely love this song, as it always seems to get me up and going whenever I’m doubting myself, and wondering if I can really do it.

One time, in particular, this helped me was the morning that I proposed to my wife, as I was very nervous, as you can imagine!

Straight after listening to this, I just went and did it, and thankfully she said yes!

What song brings back happy memories and why?

JACK Johnston's 'Better Together'; this song was the first dance at my wedding.

It will always take me back to that day on the dance floor, looking into my wife’s eyes, feeling the happiest I ever have.

Even though the room was filled with family and friends, it felt like we were the only two people there, and we could dance the night away. This song still makes me feel this way.

If you could choose three songs to listen to for the rest of your life, what would they be, and why?

Firstly, 'Thunderstruck'. I chose this as it reminds me of going to see AC/DC play in concert, and I don’t think I could ever go without hearing this for too long.

Secondly, 'You’ll Never Walk Alone'. As a mad Liverpool fan, this song will forever be with me.

Thirdly, 'Mr. Brightside'. This song will always remind me of times when the live band would be playing in Blakes of the Hollow, and everyone would sing along to it.

People that didn’t even know each other would throw their arms around each other, and for the few minutes of this song, all worries would be forgotten.

What song reminds you of your one true passion?

I WOULD have to say I wouldn’t have one true passion, as I like so many different things, but one thing I enjoy doing when I get the time – which isn’t that often nowadays, since my son, Austin, was born – is playing FIFA on the PlayStation.

The song that will always remind me of this is 'Song 2', by Blur.

I can’t remember which FIFA game it was that it was on, but I do remember each Christmas when me and my brother, Darren, would go halves on it, and then spend hours playing it.

I'll not say who was better at FIFA, but I’m surprised I still like playing it!

What song reminds you of the one place you love to visit?

THE place is the wonderful town of Bundoran, and the song is 'In the Summertime', by Mungo Jerry.

Any time I hear this song, it reminds me of the many times spent there when I was younger, and all the fun that I had with my mum, dad, brothers and sisters.
