The Department of Health have reported a further three Covid-19 related deaths in Fermanagh and Omagh since Friday.

The daily update shows that the total number of deaths in the area is now at 71. The three deaths are part of 43 which occured across Northern Ireland over the weekend.

1,480 people tested positive for the virus over the weekend acorss Northern Ireland whith 73 of those individuals in the Fermanagh and Omagh area.

Breaking down Fermanagh by postal district from January 18-24 shows that BT92 had 35 positive cases, BT74 had 36, BT94 had 17 and BT93 had 18 positive cases.

The Council area seven day per 100k rate continues to fall and is currently 215.7, compared to 327.8 for the seven days previous, from January 11-17.

The number of positive cases in the district in the past seven days is 252, compared to 383 for the previous seven days.

Breaking down cases by age, there were 35 cases in people aged 19 and under; 73 between 20 and 39; 98 between 40 and 59; 37 between 60 and 79, and eight aged 80 and over.

There are currently 103 Covid-19 in-patients in the Western Trust, with 40 of those at the SWAH. There have been 40 admissions and 55 discharges in the past seven days.

Across the Trusts, there are currently 828 Covid in-patients. The number of ICU Covid-occupied beds stands at 74, with one of those at the SWAH. Some 50 Covid patients are currently on ventilators.

Confirmed care home outbreaks are currently 135 - a fall of nine from the previous week. 27 outbreaks were across homes in the Western Trust. The Western Trust has the largest proportion of care homes with an outbreak in its region, with 38 per cent.
