The rate of positive cases of Covid-19 in Fermanagh and Omagh continues to fall according to the daily update from the Department of Health.

However, there have been two further deaths in the area which brings the total to 73.

In relation to positive cases of the virus the seven day rate per 100k has fallen from 302.1 for January 12-18 to 193.4 for Janaury 19-25.

The number of positive cases in the district in the past seven days is 252, compared to 383 for the previous seven days.

26 people in the district tested positive for the virus with the total number of cases now at 5,181.

Breaking down Fermanagh by postal district from January 18-24 shows that BT92 had 35 positive cases, BT74 had 36, BT94 had 17 and BT93 had 18 positive cases.

Breaking down the positives cases from the last week by age, there were 30 cases in people aged 19 and under; 68 between 20 and 39; 89 between 40 and 59; 31 between 60 and 79, and eight aged 80 and over.

Across Northern Ireland 550 people tested positive while 16 deaths were recorded. The respective totals are now at 101,291 positive cases and 1,763 deaths.

There are currently 91 (12 fewer than Monday's update) Covid-19 in-patients in the Western Trust, with 39 of those at the SWAH. There have been 42 admissions and 68 discharges in the past seven days.

Across the Trusts, there are currently 819 Covid in-patients. The number of ICU Covid-occupied beds stands at 68, with two of those at the SWAH. Some 48 Covid patients are currently on ventilators.

Bed capacity across NI's hospitals is at 95 per cent, with the SWAH operating at 102.98 per cent capacity

Confirmed care home outbreaks are currently 133 - a fall of four from the previous week. 27 outbreaks were across homes in the Western Trust. The Western Trust has the largest proportion of care homes with an outbreak in its region, with 38 per cent.
