There were another three death related to Covid-19 reported by the Department of Health today (Tuesday), bringing the death toll here to 79.

The deaths come as the area saw only seven positive cases recorded in the last 24 hours, the fewest in Northern Ireland, the first time it has been in single figures since October 1. There have now been 5,334 positive cases in the district.

Despite the fall in positive cases, half of the ICU beds (3) at SWAH are Covid occupied. There are currently 66 people in ICU with Covid-19 across Northern Ireland, with 58 patients on ventilators.

17 more people have died from the virus and 447 individuals tested positive across Northern Ireland according to today's update. There are now 1,878 death and 104,721 positive cases reported in Northern Ireland.

Breaking down Fermanagh by postal district, from January 25-31 shows that BT92 had nine coronavirus-positive cases, BT74 had 30, BT94 had 7 and BT93 had 11 positive cases.

In the past week, there were 150 cases of Covid-19 recorded in the district.

Looking at the positive cases from the past week by age, there were 26 cases in people aged 19 and under; 37 in those aged between 20 and 39; 44 in those between 40 and 59; 28 in those between 60 and 79, and 15 aged 80 and over.

The past seven-day rate per 100k of the population in Fermanagh has decreased, with a rate of 128.4 per 100k recorded in the past seven days, in comparison to 202 per 100k in the week of January 19-25.

There are currently 716 in-patients with Covid-18 across Northern Ireland, with 74 inpatients in the Western Trust.

29 of these patients are in the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH). There have been 31 admissions into the Western Trust and 49 discharges in the past week.

SWAH is the only hospital operation above 100 per cent bed capacity (101.8 per cent).

Across the care home sector, there are currently 105 active Covid-19 outbreaks in homes across Northern Ireland.

There has been a decrease of 28 active outbreaks in the past seven days, with 28  outbreaks across 71 care homes in the Western Trust.
