A man has been hospitalised following a lorry crash on a dangerous section of the Derrylin Road.

It is believed that he is awaiting surgery.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a lorry at the junction of the Derrylin Road and Stragowna Road at around 12pm [today, February 25].

"One man was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries."

A spokesperson from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: "NIAS received a 999 call at 11.57 on Thursday, 25 February 2021 following reports of an RTC at Stragowna Road, Enniskillen.

"NIAS despatched one Emergency crew and one Rapid Response Paramedic to the scene.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to the South West Acute Hospital by ambulance.
