THE Ardhowen at Home series continues with more entertainment and activities to enjoy over the lockdown period from the comfort of your home.

Tomorrow night (February 26) will see Gary Curley and friends lead a Trad session live from the theatre streamed to your home via the Ardhowen’s Facebook page at 8pm.

With his experience of playing the button accordion for more than 15 years, Gary will showcase his well-honed musical talent on the night, performing a range of traditional Irish songs accompanied by fellow Trad musicians in what promises to be an upbeat night of entertainment.

Reading is one of the few things we’ve all been able to do more of over the past months, and you are never lonely with a good book in your hand – but if you’re craving a little more social interaction, why not sign up to the Ardhowen’s monthly book club?

You’ll ‘meet’ other literary enthusiasts for a relaxed, informal evening discussing your favourite reads – all in the comfort of your own home.

The topic for the clulb’s next virtual session on Thursday, March 4, will be ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ (inset, right), by Delia Owens.

Kya Clark is barefoot and wild; unfit for polite society. So, in late 1969, when the popular Chase Andrews is found dead, locals immediately suspect her ...

This absorbing, atmospheric tale about a lonely girl’s coming-of-age in the marshes of North Carolina has sold more than four and a half million copies.

Join Nuala O’Toole, via Zoom online meeting, for the Ardhowen Book Club on the first Thursday of every month at 7pm. Book your slot now via the theatre’s website at www.ardhowen.com.
