The number of inpatients at the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) remains low.

Thursday's update from the Department of Health show there are 12 Covid patients in the hospital.

There are 39 Covid inpatients across the Western Trust while across all hospitals in Northern Ireland there are 242 inpatients, 15 fewer than in Thursday's update.

There were no deaths recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh again, with the last death recorded on February 20 which brought the death toll to 83.

Across Northern Ireland the death toll is at 2,068 with the reporting of two further deaths.

Locally, there were eight positive cases of the virus in the last 24 hours and they were part of the 166 cases across Northern Ireland. The respective total number of cases now stand at 5,588 and 113,335.

Fermanagh and Omagh continues to have a low seven-day rate of positive Covid cases in Northern Ireland.

Some 43 people have tested positive locally in the past week, which is a rate of 36.8 comapred to the previous seven day rate of 41.1.

Of these 43 cases, 10 were aged 19 and under; 13 were aged between 20 and 39; 11 were between 40 and 59; six were between 60 and 79, and three were aged 80 and over.

From February 22-28, postal districts in Fermanagh recorded low positive cases, with BT92 having six; BT74 had seven; BT94 had four and BT93 recorded two cases.

There are no Covid patients in the SWAH ICU while across the rest of Northern Ireland's hospitals there 29 Covid patients in ICU with 27 on ventilators.

There were 18 confirmed active care home outbreaks as of March 5 a change of 10 compared to the previous seven days.
