Cases of Covid-19 in Fermanagh and Omagh have continued to decline.

Cases in the community have fallen in the week when Primary School pupils from P1-P3 returned to school and click and collect opened for some retailers including; clothing, shoe shops, baby equipment and electrical good shops can operate with click and collect.

The Northern Ireland Executive will meet on March 18 to review the current current restrictions as they deal with the Coronavirus pandemic and the exit from the current lockdown.

Cases in Fermanagh and Omagh have remained low in the past seven days with 147 cases reported by the Department of Health in the daily update published on Wednesday, March 10. Six of these cases were reported in Fermanagh and Omagh.

According to the latest data, there are 43 Covid-19 in-patients across the Western Trust, while across all hospitals in NI, there are 212 such in-patients.

There are 11 Covid-19 in-patients in the SWAH. There are no Covid-19 patients being treated in ICU in SWAH. There are 29 Covid-19 ICU patients across Northern Ireland, 19 of which are ventilated.

The data shows that there were no recent deaths recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh, with the last Covid-related death in the district recorded on February 20, which brought the death toll to 83.

Across NI, the death toll stands at 2,087 people; there were eight Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Fermanagh and Omagh continues to have a low seven-day rate of positive Covid cases. There were 39 cases recorded in the past week.

Some people have tested positive locally in the past week, which is a rate of 33.4 , compared to the previous seven-day rate of 41.1.

Of these cases, eight were aged 19 and under; 14 were aged between 20 and 39; 10 were between 40 and 59; six were between 60 and 79, and one was aged 80 and over.

From March 1-8, postal districts in Fermanagh recorded low covid-positive cases, with BT92 having three; BT74 seeing four; BT94 seeing one; and BT93 also recording one case.

There were 18 confirmed active care home outbreaks as of March 8 – a reduction of eight outbreaks compared to the previous seven days.
