OVER AT Charlie’s Bar in Enniskillen, St. Patrick’s Day is usually one of the popular watering hole’s biggest and best nights of the year.

Although its doors are still closed, due to the pandemic, Charlie’s hopes to spread some cheer by hosting a virtual St. Patrick’s Day celebration this year with a special live-streamed gig by singer/songwriter Sinéad Quinn.

Originally from Irvinestown, Sinéad is best known as a contestant in the first series of the UK BBC TV series Fame Academy in 2002, where she was runner-up.

She went on to sign a recording contract, release an album, and had a #2 UK single with ‘I Can’t Break Down’ in February, 2003.

Alternative celebration

Speaking about this year’s alternative St. Patrick’s Day celebration, the manager of Charlie’s, Una Burns, said: “While we might not be able to celebrate in the usual fashion this year, Charlie’s Bar, Enniskillen is committed to bringing a hearty dose of that St. Paddy’s Day fun right to your homes.

“Sinéad will be doing a live-stream from the Charlie’s Bar, Enniskillen Facebook page at 7pm on March 17,” said Una, adding: “Join us to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year virtually. We are sure you won’t be disappointed!”
