A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of carrying a gun after threats were made to a resident in Breightmet in the early hours of today.
Police were sent to Dorchester Avenue at around 12.35am after a man reportedly threatened a neighbour.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or distress.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said enquiries are ongoing and no injuries were reported.
A GMP spokesman said: "Police were called shortly after 12.35am on Sunday to a report of a man making threats to a neighbour on Dorchester Avenue, Bolton.
"A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
