An Enniskillen man who was caught three times at house parties during the Covid-19 lockdown has been handed down a fine at Enniskillen Magistrates Court.

Connor Anthony Logan (29), of Drumbeg, Enniskillen, was at a house in Maguiresbridge when police attended on March 12 at around 11pm.

Officers were granted access to the house and observed households mixing including the defendant who had a previous Covid breach in January.

The party was broken up and those in attendance left to go home in a taxi.

However, a short time later on March 13, police were called to an address on Main Street, Lisbellaw. At the house, there were 10 people from eight households mixing as music played and alcohol was observed in the house.

Logan was present once again.

On March 15, Logan was observed at another illegal gathering in Irvinestown.

Michelle McVeigh, representing Logan, said there was nothing she could add to justify her client's behaviour and he accepted he was wrong.

Mrs. McVeigh said the Covid-19 pandemic had fatigued Logan and also affected his mental health. She asked the court to give Logan credit for his early plea.

District Judge Seven Keown said more people were justified to have Covid fatigue than the defendant before issuing a £350 fine.
