Fermanagh County Show, has become the last of the main agricultural shows in Northern Ireland to be cancelled this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Fermanagh Show was due to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 3 and 4 at the Lackaboy Showgrounds.

The re-scheduled Balmoral Show at the end of September is the only agricultural show to take place this year, even with a reduced capacity.

There are more than a dozen agricultural shows affiliated with the Northern Ireland Shows Association and these have been cancelled with the exception of Balmoral Show.

It now means that there will be no agricultural shows in many communities for two years.

Organisers of shows must begin the planning between six and 12 months beforehand so the green light for shows in 2022 will need to begin this autumn/winter.
