A team of runners have raised a total of £12,924 for two Fermanagh charities that provide mental health support.

Undertaking the 'Blood, Sweat and Tears Challenge', Stephen Carters and Amy Cadden, along with Jade McMahon, Frances McElroy, Helen Davis, Jarlath Jackman and Eddie Sherry, ran four miles every two hours for 24 hours, raising a significant amount of money for the Aisling Centre, Enniskillen and the Oak Healthy Living Centre, Lisnaskea.

On receiving a cheque for £5,038.63, a spokesperson on behalf of the Aisling centre said: "Thank you Amy and Stephen and all who supported you."

The group also donated £7,841.72 to the Oak Healthy Living Centre.

Thanking the team of runners for their fundraising support, a spokesperson for the Oak Healthy Living Centre said: "We are grateful to you all for taking on this endurance challenge and to everyone in the community for their generosity. This fundraising will support the centre to deliver health and well being initiatives to support local people."
