A FERMANAGH man who is accused of fitting a vehicle with a blue light and a two-tone horn on two separate occasions has entered guilty pleas to the charges.

Cathal Crudden (36), with an address currently in Elmwood Green, Castlederg, is facing a litany of driving and public order offences in relation to incidents in 2019 and 2020.

On October 9, 2019, at Factory Road, Enniskillen, Crudden is alleged to have fitted a vehicle with a blue light bar and two-tone horn, to which he pleaded guilty at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday.

He also entered guilty pleas to failing to produce his driving licence and insurance; however, he is to contest the charges of having no driving licence or insurance.

Then on November 28, 2019, Crudden – this time at the Lough Shore Road, Enniskillen – is again alleged to have a blue warning beacon and two-tone horn on a vehicle.

Guilty pleas were entered for these charges, alongside failing to produce insurance, failing to produce his driving licence, and an incorrect form of registration mark.

A not guilty plea was entered to a charge of disorderly behaviour relation to an incident on November 23, 2019 at the Belturbet Road, Derrylin, and also to no insurance, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police for an incident at Main Street, Belcoo on September 2, 2019.

The final guilty pleas were entered for failing to produce a driving licence and insurance for an incident on February 12, 2020 at the Nutfield Road, Lisnaskea.

The final two charges of having no driving licence or insurance are to be contested.

All matters were adjourned until July 19 by District Judge Steven Keown.
