A man and a woman have have been charged over the death of a two-year-old girl in Dungannon, County Tyrone.
The child - named locally as Ali Jayden Maguire - died in hospital last Friday, August 6, after sustaining head injuries at a house in Park Avenue.
A police spokesman said: "Detectives from the PSNI's Major Investigation Team, investigating the circumstances of the death of a two-year-old girl on Friday, August 6, have charged a man and a woman.

"The man, aged 32, has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice.
"The woman, aged 24, has been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child and perverting the course of justice."
Both the man and the woman are expected to appear before Omagh Magistrate's Court later today, Tuesday, August 10.
