The reported incident at Enniskillen Library yesterday (August 10) has been confirmed as a "false alarm".

Speaking to The Impartial Reporter today (August 11) a Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said that NIFRS were called after carbon monoxide alarms sounded in the library building on Halls Lane, Enniskillen.

However, she can now confirm that this was a "false alarm and no further action was taken by NIFRS".

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) was also in attendance at the scene following a call.

In a statement yesterday, a NIAS spokesman said: "The NIAS received a 999 call at 3.45pm on Tuesday, August 10 following reports of an incident in the Halls Lane area of Enniskillen.

"NIAS despatched one emergency crew to the scene. No one was taken from scene."
