A spate of thefts in Maguiresbridge and Lisbellaw in the last week are being investigated by police.

The thefts are believed to have taken place sometime between Saturday, September 11 and Tuesday, September 14.

Police received a report that entry had been gained to a vehicle at a property at Coolcrannel Square, Maguiresbridge, sometime between 4pm on Saturday, and 7.30am yesterday, Monday, September 13, and a number of tools taken.

It was further reported on Monday that tools, including two leaf blowers and a chain saw, and a bottle of after shave, were taken from another vehicle at a property at Coolcrannel Square, and a drill was taken from a shed at a house at Blue Bell Glade in Lisbellaw.

In a third incident at Coolcrannel Square, a set of air pods was reported to have been taken from a vehicle.

It was also reported that a boat engine was taken off the back of a boat, after entry was forced to a garage at a property at Abbey Road in Maguiresbridge.

Sergeant Balfour said: “Enquiries into these incidents, which we believe may possibly be linked, are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity, or has any information which could assist us, to call 101 and quote reference number 430 of 13/09/21.”

In a separate incident in Belcoo a van was broken into on Sunday, September 12 with tools stolen.

Tools taken included a cut saw, radio, an impact driver, pistol drill and circular saw.
