Those wishing to access the town centre in the evenings over the next fortnight may face some delay.

Belmore Street and its junction with East Bridge Street and the Queen Elizabeth Road will be closed at night to allow for resurfacing.

The closure will be in place at night only from Sunday, October 17 to Thursday, October 28 from 6pm to 6am.

A diversion will be in place but drivers are to expect delays.

Information on Traffic Watch NI states: “While Belmore Street will always remain closed, east bound traffic on Queen Elizabeth Road will be maintained for as long as possible so that traffic can enter the town centre with ease. For the resurfacing works at the Queen Elizabeth Road/East Bridge St/Belmore Street junction, traffic will not be permitted to enter East Bridge Street this could be for say four hours on two of the nights.

The work is being carried out by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.
