This week's walk of the week is the picturesque Red Trail at Florence Court Forest Park, with National Trust entrance pricing applying for this walk.

Overview

The Florence Court Red Trail follows the Claddagh River upstream into the forest park, winding through the forest park with occasional steep climbs, and rewarding walkers with views across Fermanagh at its peak.

On a clear day you should be able to see across much of Fermanagh, including Upper Lough MacNean, Belmore Mountain, Enniskillen, Brougher Mountain, parts of Upper Lough Erne and Knockninny, amongst others.

There is the option to continue your walk onto the Cuilcagh Way and Ulster Way, should you so wish.

The information on this walking route has been provided by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and also features on a series of walking cards which have been developed to promote walking opportunities, trails and routes within the Council district.

Please note that to help reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19, social distancing should be adhered to.
