THANKS to a skillful piece of penmanship, Marie Louise Bate has become Enniskillen’s top calendar pin-up.
The former Collegiate pupil has had one of her A-Level art pieces incorporated into a calendar produced by exam board AQA.
Among the pieces Marie Louise submitted were a sculpture and a piece of drawing which explored textures and shades in a collection of textiles.
After the A-Levels were well behind her, she was contacted by a representative of the exam board, who asked if she would give her permission for her work to be used in a calendar or on the AQA website.
Penmanship was not quite the right term for the skills used in producing the picture, though – it was produced using colouring pencils.
