A great night of Rock and Roll is promised as a stellar line-up of bands and musicians are set to perform in Level 7 at Blakes of the Hollow, Enniskillen on Saturday, March 5 – all in support of an important local charity.

The concert will see Anto and the Echoes, SKORCH, Dubh Lee and Kid Ego take to the stage at 8pm on Saturday night. The charity concert had previously been planned to take place in January at Charlie’s Bar but had to be rescheduled due to Covid-19.

All proceeds raised on the night will be donated to Cancer Connect NI – a Co. Fermanagh charity, supporting and guiding those affected by cancer.

Belfast-based Fermanagh six-piece Anto and the Echoes will headline the night. They are a band that have long prided themselves on their live show.

SKORCH, formed in 2021 by founder Shea Smith (drums), Calum McKenna (guitar/vocals) Jack Gavin (guitar) and Aaron Sheridan (bass) are a Rock/Metal band based in Co. Fermangh.

Dubh Lee is a folk singer and guitarist and has entertained countless audiences at events such as the Ruby Sessions, Electric Picnic and the Rory Gallagher festival in Ballyshannon. She is currently in the process of recording her debut EP, coming this spring.

A Dublin-based Glam band with a flashy, high-octane stage presence, Kid Ego’s style and sound will bring the decadence of the Sunset Strip to Level 7 on Saturday night.

Speaking previously to The Impartial Reporter, organiser Stephen Brennan, who performs with Kid Ego, explained why he has chosen to support the charity with the upcoming concert.

He said: “Cancer is something that has impacted all of our lives. When it came to my family, Cancer Connect NI were a huge help – I will forever be indebted to their incredible team.

“They do a huge amount of work within the Fermanagh community, but their bread and butter funding initiatives have been hit hard by the pandemic – this is why events like this are so important.”

It promises to be a fantastic night of live music, so head along for great music that will be helping to support a very worthy cause.
