A collection is to take place this weekend in Enniskillen in support of the people of Ukraine.
Aid charity Concern Worldwide is appealing for volunteers to help with cash collections in support of the people of Ukraine.
The Concern Fermanagh Volunteer Group are organising a bucket cash collection at Rooney’s Eurospar on the Cornagrade Road this Saturday March 12, and with more collections planned, they are calling for local volunteers.
The charity is a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) which recently launched the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to raise funds to provide shelter, food, water and other vital supplies for people fleeing conflict in the country.
Concern is on the ground in countries bordering Ukraine assessing what is needed in terms of a humanitarian response to what could be the largest population displacement since the second world war.
If you would like to volunteer some free time or to donate in person, please contact Concern Fermanagh Group Vice Chair Marie McKenna on 07776 147690 or Group Treasurer Tom Palmer on 07891547166.
