AVID young readers were happy to start a new chapter of fun last Thursday, March 3, when they joined in World Book Day.
Fermanagh’s young book-lovers – along with some parents, teachers, and young-at-heart citizens – took the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book and story characters, with a dizzying range of familiar names suddenly fleshed out with some cleverly sourced DIY costumes, enthusiastic face-painting where needed and, most importantly, a sense of fun an enthusiasm.
The kids had a great time celebrating the day, as these photos that readers sent in showed, and no doubt the young readers will be celebrating the wonderful, engaging joy of reading that books give for many years to come.
