Live at the Castle kicked off at the weekend with a stellar line-up of music acts taking to the stage under the Big Top – a circus tent which has been specially erected in the grounds of Enniskillen Castle for the 10-day festival.

Festivities began on Friday night, March 11, with the ‘I am a Raver’ Dance music event. Hosted by Bad Boy and featuring a number of top DJs including DJ Rankin and DJ Cammy, the event was a big hit with Dance music lovers from near and far, who raved the night away as the beats dropped.

On Saturday night (March 12), Live at the Castle welcomed Europe’s number-one Queen tribute band, Qween, to the Big Top with special guests The Human Touch – Ireland’s top tribute to ‘The Boss’ himself, Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band.

The event proved very popular as large crowds gathered to enjoy the live performances. Both tribute acts indulged the audience by playing a number of fan favourites – prompting many a singalong over the course of the night.

Sunday night (March 13) saw acclaimed Northern Irish singer-songwriter Ryan McMullan headline, with support from Donegal musician John Doherty, and a solo set from Kiel Cathers, a member of popular Tyrone band, The Logues.

The crowd erupted as Ryan took to the stage with guitar in hand. The talented songwriter belted out his original songs, with ‘You Don’t Dance’, and ‘Belfast City’ proving particularly popular with the crowd.

On Monday night (March 14), members of Fermanagh Writers shared their original works.

Scott Ramsey also delighted audiences on Monday night with his skillful guitar playing.

Live at the Castle continues today with a range of musical performances to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, followed by a further weekend of top-class entertainment.
