FOUR men will take on the challenge of the Belfast Marathon on the May Bank Holiday Monday to raise money to help a four-year-old girl suffering from Rett Syndrome.
Shannon MacCormack’s dad will be one of the four, from the Lisnaskea area, who will be pounding along the 26.2-mile marathon course through the city. Cornelius MacCormack (left) will be joined by Sean Maguire (right) and Paddy Treacy along with Roddy Cadden (centre) who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis.
Shannon attends Elmbrook School in Enniskillen three days a week and it is expected that her attendance will increase to four days in September.
Half the money raised will go to Elmbrook school, and the other half to the Rett Syndrome Association. Roddy’s run will raise money for the City Hospital, Belfast.
