Bags of logs donated by a local business to a local organisation have been delivered.

Margaret Gallagher who lives outside of Belcoo in her thatched cottage was delighted to receive her donation from Lakeland Community Care Limited.

Lakeland Community Care were donated the bags of sticks from local business Greentown Environmental Limited.

Greentown are endeavouring to deliver logs across Northern Ireland with Lakeland Community Care delivering some of the logs in Fermanagh.

Greentown recognised the increasing fuel poverty faced by many households in Northern Ireland and reached out to National Energy Action (NEA) NI for advice on how best to support communities in need, the charity is working to end fuel poverty which has become a major issue in recent years.

Frances Spence, Lakeland Community Care Limited welcomed the donation of sticks from Greentown.

She said:"As locally based representative organisations who are actively working to support vulnerable and isolated members of the community, Lakeland Community Care Limited and Fermanagh Rural Community Network, welcome the invitation by National Energy Action NI to participate in this initiative to distribute bagged logs that have been donated by Greentown in response to huge increase in energy costs.
