This week, celebrations are taking place across the district to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with towns and villages taking part in the UK-wide celebrations to mark the momentous occasion.

The following are some of the local Jubilee celebrations at a glance, with many individuals also marking the historic occasion.

Thursday, June 2

Enniskillen

2pm – Proclamation of National Beacon Lighting at Enniskillen Courthouse.

8.30pm – Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving at St. Macartin’s Cathedral. Jane Styles, Deputy Lieutenant for Co. Fermanagh, to light The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon. Massed pipes and drums will perform, before parading to Enniskillen Castle via the Erne and Castle Bridges, where further beacons will be lit on the walls of Enniskillen Castle by Enniskillen Rotary Club.

Brookeborough

7.30pm – Brookeborough District Lodge are hosting a barbecue and fun evening to mark the Jubilee at the Brooke Memorial Orange Hall.

9.45pm – A beacon will be lit in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign.

Fivemiletown

9.30pm – Beacon lighting ceremony by Fivemiletown Royal British Legion.

Friday, June 3

Kesh

2pm – Jubilee celebrations at Mantlin Road Playing Fields, Kesh. The official opening will be performed by guest of honour, Major Shaun Pendry DL. Entertainment all day, including music and family-friendly activities.

7pm – Grand finale pageant through the village featuring bands, community sporting and voluntary organisations, Loyal Orders, ex-Service organisations, vintage vehicles, and more.

Maguiresbridge

7-8.30pm – Jubilee Juniors Fun Night, parishes of Maguiresbridge and Derrybrusk.

Fivemiletown

2-4.30pm – Tea dance and party hosted by Royal British Legion featuring live music from Murley Silver Band.

Saturday, June 4

Enniskillen

10am - 4pm – Armed Forces Display at Enniskillen Royal Grammar School.

7.30pm – The ‘Beating Retreat’ at Wellington Place Car Park and Enniskillen Castle, hosted by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, Fermanagh section.

Maguiresbridge

2-4.30pm – Jubilee High Tea at Maguiresbridge and Derrybrusk, with a special guest attending.

Fivemiletown

8pm – Fivemiletown Royal British Legion Platinum Jubilee BBQ and Dance.

Lack

1-5pm – Lack Jubilee Party at Lack Playpark with fancy dress and activities.

Derrygonnelly

2-5pm – Platinum Jubilee Afternoon Tea Party at Derrygonnelly Orange Hall.

Sunday, June 5

Enniskillen

11am – Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving and Civic Parade hosted by the Royal British Legion, Enniskillen Branch.

11am - 5pm – Big Jubilee Lunch at Enniskillen Castle.

1-5pm – The Queen's Jubilee celebration party at Inis Fold. The event will include garden tours, afternoon tea, bric-a-brac, photos with 'The Queen', quizzes. Money raised from the event will be donated to Air Ambulance NI.

Maguiresbridge

10.30am – Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving at Derrybrusk, followed by a barbecue, bouncy castle and ice cream.

Ballinamallard

11am – Ballinamallard Jubilee Party with an open-air community service of thanksgiving for the life of The Queen. Following the service, there will be a barbecue as part of The Big Lunch community initiative.

Irvinestown

2-6pm – County Fermanagh Grand Orange Lodge is celebrating Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee with a family day at Castle Irvine Necarne, Irvinestown with activities and music followed by a service of thanksgiving for The Queen.

Lisbellaw

2-3.30pm – Tea dance at Lisbellaw District Orange Hall followed by family fun day.

Clabby

10.15am – Platinum Jubilee Service, Clabby Church of Ireland.

Tempo

11.30am – Platinum Jubilee Service, Tempo Church of Ireland.
