A new monthly community market specialising in the sale of pre-loved items, the first of its kind in the area, will officially open its doors this weekend, offering Fermanagh locals the opportunity to sell, buy, browse and socialise.

The ReLove Community Market will open at Enniskillen Ulster Farmers Mart on the Tempo Road, Enniskillen on Saturday, June 4, operating from 9am to 3pm.

Organised by local businesswoman Linda Johnston, who owns the decluttering business Freefrom Clutter, the aim of the market is to provide a space for people to resell new and good quality pre-loved items.

"I've tried to push pre-loved items like clothes and household stuff and various things like that so there'll be men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, toys and accessories, DIY and tools, appliances and gadgets, all at affordable prices," said Linda, noting that through her decluttering business, she has found that people were not wanting to just give their pre-loved items away for free.

"They may have paid good money for items so I was trying to find a place where people could release their stuff and get some money back."

On the day, there will be over 30 stalls, where, alongside second-hand resellers, there will be a number of local artisans and crafters selling their wares. Food and drink vendors will also be present.

Acknowledging that this is likely the first market of its kind in Fermanagh, Linda said: "It's usually either craft fairs or carboot sales here, so I would say it's the first of its kind.

"The beauty about this is that it's indoors, so you don't even have to think about the weather, and that makes all the difference," said Linda, noting that rainy weather can impact similar style markets which are held outdoors.

Following its debut on Saturday, going forward the monthly market will take place the first Saturday of every month.
