The owner of a number of vintage cars that were destroyed following a shed fire on the Magheralough Road, Trillick in the early hours of Tuesday morning is "totally lost for words" following the devastating incident which police are treating as arson.

Three Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) appliances attended the fire on Tuesday, June 7; one from Enniskillen, one from Irvinestown and one from Dromore fire stations, following a call at 12.18am.
A NIFRS spokeswoman said: "Firefighters were called to an iron shed on fire.
"They wore breathing apparatus and used two jets to extinguish the fire. The incident was dealt with by 2.02am and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
Eamonn Garrity, the owner of the shed, was alerted to the blaze which burnt-out three of his vehicles after receiving a call from a neighbour in Trillick.

"I've no clues as to how or why but I've lost three cars; an 85 starlet and a RWD Carina and an old Mercedes my dad has had from 1995. There [were] also a lot of the parts for my Twincam," said Eamonn, who is appealing for information following the incident, asking for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious on Magheralough Road, Trillick around midnight that night to contact him.

"Something does not add up as to how this has happened. These cars have been in this shed a couple of years," he said.

PSNI personnel also attended the scene of the incident.
Sergeant Jennings said: “Sometime between midnight and 1.45am on Tuesday, June 7, significant damage was caused to a number of vintage motor vehicles, a shed, and its contents as a result of a fire at the premises.
“Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries.
“Our enquiries into this incident, which we are treating as arson, are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity, or who may have any CCTV footage captured or any other information which could assist, to contact us on 101, and quote reference number 105 of 07/06/22.”
