The weather conditions in Fermanagh were obviously ideal for growing flowers, fruit and vegetables as there was a magnificent display at Fermanagh County Show this week.

In the three classes for potatoes alone, there were over 20 entries and a further 13 entries for the class for rhubarb which has been performing well in the cooler climes of Northern Ireland while other parts of the UK have been suffering drought like conditions.

There were also superb displays in the class for a Veggie Box of fresh garden produce with eight boxes of attractively coloured vegetables expertly arranged.

Flowers especially roses have performed well this summer and there was an interesting class “What’s in my garden? to depict what has been flourishing in gardens.

Cups in the various sections are being awarded at the prizegiving later in the year.
