On Saturday, August 6, a large number of runners, joggers and walkers came out to participate in the 400th Enniskillen parkrun.

Enniskillen Co-Event Directors, Finbar Maguire and Bryony May, said they were "absolutely thrilled" that the parkrun has reached such a significant milestone birthday.

Enniskillen parkrun held its first event on April 13, 2013, and Finbar has been involved since the very beginning, with Bryony joining the team a few weeks later.

Finbar explained that parkrun really is for everyone, saying: "We have all ages, abilities and backgrounds at our event. Despite the name, you don't have to run – we warmly welcome walkers!"

Bryony added: "It's really about wellbeing – positive mental as much as physical health. Just getting out in the fresh air, regardless of what speed you're going, and meeting friends and new people. That's what's at the heart of parkrun."

Enniskillen parkrun is a fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event which takes place every Saturday at 9.30am, starting and finishing on the track at the Lakeland Forum, and taking in Enniskillen Castle.

The event is free and online registration takes just a few minutes. More information can be found at parkrun.com.
