As the funeral cortège of the late Ernie Beacom travelled through Enniskillen town centre on the afternoon of Thursday, September 1, in a special tribute, his beloved Massey Ferguson 35 accompanied the hearse on his final journey.
Ernest Frederick 'Ernie' (74), late of Tempo Road, Enniskillen, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 30.
Ernie was a regular participant in the Erne Vintage Club's annual Vintage Parade in Enniskillen, taking out his Massey Ferguson 35.
On the day of Ernie's funeral, family member Andrew Young drove the classic tractor to and from Enniskillen Methodist Church as part of the funeral cortège.
Arranged by W. T. Morrison Funeral Directors, the funeral service was conducted by Rev. Lorna Dreaning. The service was followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.
Ernie is survived by his dearly loved wife, Laura. He is lovingly remembered by the family circle.
