The Impartial Reporter understands the person set to replace UUP Councillor Howard Thornton on Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is well-known Enniskillen man, Roy Crawford (pictured right).
A number of sources have confirmed Mr. Crawford as the new UUP councillor for the Enniskillen DEA, while it has also been speculated on social media.
A former Council Chair, Councillor Thornton told fellow councillors at a sitting of the Council that he will step down today (Thursday, September 15).
When contacted by The Impartial Reporter, the Ulster Unionists did not comment on the speculation about who would be their new councillor for the Enniskillen DEA.
